Zipline Eco Tours:
Welcome to Ha'uukmin
Tribal Park
The Kennedy River Watershed is Traditional Tla-o-qui-aht Territory. A view from above would reveal this hidden treasure, a fantastic canyon only steps from Highway 4. Hidden by dense rainforest and cut from centuries of flowing white water, the canyon plunges to over 100 ft. below the road level. The river drops and pools its way through the canyon as it narrows and forces the water through spaces so small the only way to see it is from above...on a zipline.
Our objective for this unique Vancouver Island wilderness adventure is to give you a bird’s eye view of a wild, natural river making its final descent towards Kennedy Lake and the Pacific Ocean. This zipline tour takes you right through the canyon where your senses will rise with the roar of the water below and the crisp mountain air in your face as you fly through a setting few have ever seen.
First you'll meet us at our base at the Canyon Bridge between Port Alberni and the Pacific Rim. There we outfit you with what you'll need for your zipline eco tour. We adhere to the highest level of safety standards and maintain these standards through on-going training, maintenance and certification in Advanced Wilderness First Aid.
From there, we shuttle you to the top of our course in an actual “Loggers Crummy” where a trail of many surprises leads to our first zipline adventure. This flight takes us to the giant old growth rain forests next to Clayoquot Plateau Provincial Park amongst the canopy of fragrant Cedars.
Each line is set to progressively get you more and more comfortable with the experience before we begin our trip through the river canyon. Picture zipping overtop of a whitewater river and going from wide open spaces into a river canyon that was carved by the forces of rushing water and time.
Your trip will take approximately 2 hours and will span a distance of over 1.6 km on 9 different zip lines. We provide you with all the necessary equipment, and professional interpretive guides to ensure you grab the adventure and keep the memories.
